 Captain Kai'iwa von Platen Luder III
Kai'iwa von Platen Luder III, Pacific Boats and Yachts' newest broker, brings to the growing company both a substantial business background
and considerable experience on the ocean. Born in Honolulu, Kai'iwa moved to the Big Island in 1960, where he attended and graduated from Hawaii Preparatory Academy. Over the last 10
years, he served as the Operations Manager of Huggo's Restaurant, his family's business and a Kailua-Kona landmark for 35 years.
Kai'iwa is an experienced boat Captain with a USCG certified 50 ton rating, he has worked as a crewman for some of Hawaii's top skippers, and he is an avid SCUBA diver. Through years of
experience, he has developed an in-depth understanding of the boating industry as well a passion for ocean recreation in the Kona community. Kai'iwa is enthusiastic about his new
position at Pacific Boats & Yachts, and looks forward to serving other ocean enthusiasts throughout the Pacific.
